Eduardo Gonzalez
Eduardo Gonzalez is a doctoral student at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. His research focuses on immigration politics and violence in news media and popular culture. Gonzalez’s work also explores the digital divide and disparities in access with economically disenfranchised immigrant communities in the U.S., Latin America, and the Middle East. Gonzalez’s previous research has sought to understand how rhetoric used in popular and political media outlets depict migrant communities, affect political participation and violence, democratization, and censorship. Prior to joining USC Annenberg, Gonzalez received a master’s degree in Politics from New York University and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations, with a minor in Middle East and Islamic Studies from San Francisco State University.
