Prof. Galperin’s research featured in JJN 2016 report
Congratulations to Professor Hernan Galperin, whose research about online labor in Latin America appeared in the Just Jobs Network‘s 2016 report, which was recently presented in Berlin, Germany. The event was attended by high-level officials, including Mr. Celso Amorim, the longest-serving Brazilian Minister of Foreign Affairs; Hanif Dhakiri, the current Indonesian Minister of Manpower; Donald Kaberuka, the former African Development Bank President; and many other key influencers in these debates.
With case studies from around the world and policy inputs from global leaders, JustJobs Network’s 2016 signature volume “Transformations in Technology, Transformations in Work,” is geared to inform and shape the current global debate on the impact of technology on employment. Featured in this volume is the chapter: “Are online work platforms creating a frictionless global labor market” by Hernan Galperin and Catrihel Greppi. The launch of this publication marks JJN’s inauguration of a global campaign to provide insight into the large-scale transformations reshaping the world of work.
