ARNIC Director Hernan Galperin Presents at TPRC

Associate Professor and ARNIC Director Hernan Galperin presented a paper at the 47^th Telecommunications Policy Research Conference (TPRC) in Washington DC (Sep. 20-21, 2019). The paper is titled Who Gets Access to Fast Broadband? Evidence from Los Angeles County 2014-17, co-authored with doctoral students Thai Le and Kurt Daum, argues that competition between broadband providers and investments in high-speed services (e.g., fiber-to-the-home services) are less likely in low-income and minority communities, with the largest deficits observed in areas of high poverty and large shares of African-American residents.
