British Member of Parliament Seema Malhotra visits ARNIC, gives guest lecture
On Friday, November 30, ARNIC was fortunate to welcome British Member of Parliament (MP) Seema Malhotra to the USC campus. Malhotra is a British Labour and Cooperative Party politician and is the MP for the Feltham and Heston constituency.
Organized by ARNIC founding director Prof. Jonathan Aronson, Malhotra joined Aronson and four student ARNIC members (Annenberg PhD students Sierra Bray, Cerianne Robertson, Anna Loup, and PhD candidate Rachel Moran) for an intimate lunch. During this time, she shared insight on her parliamentary career and organizing efforts on social issues such as preventing violence against women and girls. Afterward, Seema gave a guest lecture in one of Prof. Aronson’s classes on Brexit.
It was a privilege for ARNIC to have this opportunity—thank you to Seema Malhotra MP for her time, and to Prof. Jonathan Aronson for organizing this event.
